Send me a ♔ for me to describe a favorite rp character of mine.

Every time I’m asked this question it’s someone different, honestly.  I think it’s all about what muse I’m feeling at the moment.  I’m always tempted to go with some of my more recent ones because I feel the characterization is a lot more realistic as I’ve grown as a writer, but some of my original muses I’ve just been developing so long it’s almost as if they’re real human beings??  I think I’m almost always caught in a three way tie between my newer son Cullen Rhys (who, I can instantly answer any questions about even if I’ve never thought about it before.  If I write something and then ask myself ‘why did he do that?’ I can psychoanalyze it at a drop of a hat), and two of my OG NOTC characters, Alexei Morevna and Greyson Miles, who I’ve been writing for like....5 years, now? I think?  Or maybe it’s more like 4.  I think I love them both because both of them have been through so so so so so much.  And I know they’re not realistic (even when you take out the whole supernatural element), but with all the hurt and pain and trauma they’ve been through I’m truly rooting for them and want them to be happy and like even though they’re only characters it’s like so important to me they get a good ending.  Ugh, but then there’s also Hayden Grant, who awhile after the group closed I wrote this insanely long (something like 20 page) self para for her and I dug really deep into her and I think she’ll also always have a special place in my heart because I think she’s everything I want to be.  She’s beautiful and sexy but she is also confident and takes her hurt and uses it.  She doesn’t take any shit and won’t let someone determine her worth.  Ugh there’s also Talulah Wang from the appless town rp I made with Lukas, I also have a soft spot in my heart for her.

I mean my mind is going more towards more recent characters i’ve rped with rather than older ones bc they’re fresher in my mind so I think I’m gonna have to say @lukemitchellrps‘ Benjamin Westwood.  I watched the character develop over almost a year and honestly between Lukas’ characterization of him and his writing, i’ve liked....teared up a few times.  There is something so vulnerable about him that makes me want to wrap him up in a blanket and give him some tea, tbqh.

I’m never going to be able to say just one ship.  But honestly I think it’s the ones that have either stood to the test of time (@aleclightwoodrps and i’s max & colette), or the ones I just could never imagine them not ending up together in the end (partially bc we’ve already headcannoned out their lives whoops) ( @kendalwrites and i’s greyson/maggie, and @lukemitchellrps and i’s ben/cullen).

Honestly it’s been so long since I’ve been a really ship heavy rp so I’m sorta on the struggle bus with this one.  I’m thinking... @herhighnessrps‘ and Bella’s (sorry, i can’t remember her current handle yikes @ me) Chraggie from NOTC.  I mean I’m pretty sure every one loved them in the group, but I think with all the madness of the group (vampires, werewolves, and witches oh my!!!) they often got lost in it/were understated, but I always thought they were really sweet.

Oderek #5 - a desperate kiss

The birth had been worse than anyone could have anticipated. The baby had come too early, it wasn’t in the correct position, and there was blood. So, so much blood. The only thing that Odette remembered were flashes - flashes of the nursemaids looking at one another in panic, Derek’s own worry cemented in his face, the sound of his objections as the nurses and Bromley pushing and pulling a distressed king out of his queen’s chambers as she wailed in agony. 

She didn’t remember much, but she remembered that she thought that this was it. She had survived so much, but this was going to be her end. Her child, her love. Before she succumbed to the pain, her last thought had been that she was at least happy to know that her beautiful child, whether it be girl or boy, would have Derek when she was gone. 

When she awoke, it was with a shock. She sat up briefly, clutching the bed sheets tightly as she let out a cry that had probably stuck in her throat when she passed out. 

A nursemaid stood quickly, coming to her side, and she saw another rush into the hallway. Her entire body ached, and her hair was matted to her face, sweat cementing it to skin. The nursemaid was talking in her ear, telling her that she needed to lay down, that she had lost a lot of blood, but she wasn’t processing any of it. 

Suddenly, a looming figure came barreling through the door, and she didn’t have time to identify him before there were desperate lips pressing against her own. She knew instantly who it was; she could recognize him anywhere, from touch alone, and that was how she knew it was her husband. Derek. Her whole body suddenly felt healed with just his kiss. 

“The baby-” she began, pulling away from him just as he did the same, his own breath escaping as he said, “I thought I was going to lose you again.” 

She fell back against her pillow, watching her husband with new eyes. She had almost died. Again. She had almost lost him, and their baby, even when she had promised in her vows to him that she would be there far longer than forever. Reaching up, she brushed her fingers over his face, and he grabbed hold of her hand, turning his head and kissing against her palm, as if he couldn’t believe she was real. 

As the moment continued, another nursemaid came in with a bundle in her arms, and she smiled sweetly at the king and queen as Derek turned to her. Odette could see the tears in her husband’s eyes as he turned and took the little bundle in his arms, and turned back to Odette. 

“Meet our daughter,” he said, his voice just above a whisper, and Odette’s eyes flicked up to Derek’s, waiting to see disappointment, to see some disdain that she had given him a girl for their first child. She saw nothing but absolute pride as her husband looked between the two women in this life. 

He leaned down, and while Odette was absolutely exhausted, she lifted her arms and took their baby in her hands. Her eyes opened slowly as Odette settled back into bed, and the baby was all but alert when her mother looked back down at her. She was beautiful. The most amazing thing that she had ever seen. 

“Hello, Rhiannon,” she said quietly, and blinked, looking up at Derek. She hadn’t talked to him about the name, but it had just slipped out. “It… It means divine queen,” she told him. Derek only smiled. 

“It’s perfect,” he said, leaning down and brushing his lips against Odette’s head, and then again against Rhiannon’s. 

And it was. Their family was.

3. Face claims that you are dying to use

Despite the fact that I need to not take any more plots and catch up on what I do have… Leighton Meester, Emmy Rossum, Kristin Kreuk, Ginny Gardner, Alisha Boe, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Merritt Patterson, Vanessa Morgan, Sean Teale, William Moseley, Michael Trevino, Noah Centineo, Steven McQueen, Brenton Thwaites, Gregg Sulkin, Alfie Enoch (wow this was a lot)

5. Your favorite original-verse oc (or one of your favorites)

One of my favorites will always be Miss Maggie Waverly, small town nobody with big dreams of leaving her hometown behind, and a whole lot of sass and sarcasm used as a defense mechanism against the world. I was actually just reading old threads of hers today – she’s one of the oldest Tumblr rp characters I’ve ever played, which is probably why she’s so near and dear to me. One day I’ll write a book with her as the main character she deserves to be, just you wait.

18. Your favorite rp universe/world

Not to be that guy who names their own rp, but… the Comet universe (NOTC and Burning Maddox) will always be my favorite rpg universe, because I made SO many friends from that group and there was SO much fun characters, plots, etc (and by BM I got really really into world building, if you couldn’t tell). 

23. A real-world setting that you’d like to use as the setting of a plot

I’ve always wanted to do a plot based about two college kids who ditch their tour guides and make their own memories while traveling through different countries in Europe in the span of a week or two, so I think something with a study abroad/European backdrop would be really cool??

A: Who are their exes? Do they still keep in touch?

No exes for her.

T: How quick are they to cry?

About as quick to cry as a hormonal pregnant woman is, but all the damn time.

I: In general, are they organized or messy? 

Generally she’s very organized -- the only exception to the rule is her closet, which is a sheer mess.

E: Are they the happiest they’ve ever been? 

Once her and Will get more serious, yes. He’s kind of like the missing piece in her life that she didn’t know she needed.
