In honor of Izzy/Green Dino Fury being our first canon LGBTQ+ ranger in one of the TV series, I’d like to make a post of all the Rangers I’ve head canon as being queer since my childhood growing up with this series! Without further ado:
Mighty Morphing Power Rangers 1-3:
Billy Cranston (Gay)
Listen. Listen, the things David Yost endured behind the scenes while working in PR no one should have to deal with. I believe if given the chance whole heartedly he would have portrayed Billy as a gay teen if times were different. Reason for this is because I feel like our first set of Rangers ever (Mighty Morphing) the actors were pretty much just being themselves on screen as teenagers and that’s mostly what made us kids connect with these characters. How real they felt sometimes. Which is what made us believe that any of us could be heroes. Regardless of Gender, Race or class.
Mighty Morphing Alien Rangers
All of them. Pansexual/Demisexual. It is my believe that this set of literal aliens can love any person but romantic love for them only comes through deep emotional ties.
Power Rangers Lost Galaxy
Maya and Kendrix (Lesbians)
These two were in love so get out of my face!!!! I rest my case. 😌
