Witnessed the celebration of the #Akha People’s National Day in the town field of #Kengtung, eastern #Shan State, #Myanmar. We got invited to attend a #Christmas #party by an #Akha Family, in an Akha #village in one of the hills on the edge of the town of #Kengtung. The neighbouring #Christian Akha families in the village came out to sing songs and joined the party, dancing and singing on the dirt road. Most of the guests were #Buddhists. It’s heartening to see that this kind of communal harmony is alive and well in this part of Myanmar. #MerryChristmas to my Christian friends.
