Delighted to see the #gardenia/#zizawa #plant I got two months ago starting to bloom. Came back home and didn’t notice it at first. But the smell filled the space and led me to it. The #DatdawMwedawKanku #Pagoda complex in #Yangon, a modern replica of the historic #Kakku #Pagodas in #Shan State. The modern complex is located north of #Yangon, in #Mingaladon Township. Went to #Shwedagon #Pagoda with some visiting #monks. Scenes around #Kalaw. #Buddhist #monks doing their daily rounds to receive food donations, the #mountain landscape surrounding the town of Kalaw, the #local #market which was packed with domestic tourists, and a #food seller. Fun fact: Kalaw’s name is originally “Gard Law” in #Shan/#Tai which translates to “market (Gard) of bullock cart wheels (Law)”.
