I found this vintage 1960’s Kent snare in a shop in Toledo, OH a few months ago while on tour. It was made in Kenmore, NY the town I was born and grew up in, and my grandfather played a set of Kent’s back in the big band days. I’ve always wanted one but actually passed on buying this because I didn’t think I’d have the extra room to store it for the rest of the tour. Well much to my surprise a package arrived at my studio this weekend… My mother, the super-fan / drummer that she is, heard me tell the above story on a recent @deadlightsband podcast. She then, without my knowledge, contacted the band.
