"The only downside I can quite possibly think of when it comes to the Renaissance Faire... is that I don't even know where to start?" Elena laughed, looking over at Kennedy with an amused expression, "do I want to eat? Do I want to immediately go find a head piece that pulls my outfit together? And then I start doing the math in my head, like how many hours do we have and can I quite possibly fit in every single thing that I want to do before we have to get back on that bus?" She lifted her skirt in her hand, stepping around a flower garden brimming with bright colors, other hand reaching out to brush the petals of the roses. "So what do you think -- what first?"

"I know by the fact that I was born in Boston and my mom's got all this red hair and freckles that I'm Irish. Well, at least partially Irish," Ryder looked over the menu in front of him, "and yet I've never really eaten most of this food? What about you?" Glancing up, he looked over at Kennedy, one brow raised, almost playful smile tugging at the corner of his lips, "got any suggestions?"

WHEN: January 1, 2026

This town loved community get togethers, that was something that Ashleigh was learning. She had arrived in town just before Thanksgiving, spent the holiday helping out at the local community center to get to know people, shopping at the local businesses, then moved into the winter holidays with gusto. Shopping, decorating, making cookies and gingerbread houses, helping with carriage rides... and then? Then, she found herself walking up the beach from the marina, dressed in sweats with a bag full of towels and a change of clothes, keeping her eyes open for Kennedy. Although she had figured on coming to the polar plunge anyway, her friend asking her to come with had cemented the deal -- what better time to really catch up and bond than soaking wet, covered in ice crystals, after all? Spotting her across the beach, she broke into a smile, standing on her toes and waving as she started jogging her way.

March was full of events that were, for the most part, lost on Rafael when he had moved to the States. Since leaving behind his life in Italy, he had learned that he loved a good Sezerac, though, which was in his glass as he headed towards the sound of music, finding a nearby couch in the entertainment area, recognizing the blonde sitting on the other end and offering a polite smile as he approached. "Miss Warren," he gestured towards the empty space next to her, "mind if I join you for some jazz?"

"Wrong," he piped up unhelpfully, hovering right behind Kennedy and watching over her shoulder as she worked on searing a steak. The cooking class had been his idea ("It might be good if we can at least make one meal together, y'know?"), but you'd hardly ever suspect as much, what with how much sulking Aidan was doing. Most of it was in jest; lighthearted attempts at in-jokes while pestering his cousin about her "subpar" cooking skills. Or maybe he was just jealous that their instructor had assigned him the task of vegetable prep, sticking him behind a cutting board for the better part of an hour. "Dude... so bad," he said again, grin ringing loudly in his almost sing-song tone. He stood with his hands on his hips, head shaking. "It's gonna burn. That'll be blackened steak by the time you're done with it, Ken."

Sure, yes, Darrius looked great in his outfit; he had decided to go a little on the simple side, with denim shorts and a rainbow sweatshirt. But his dogs stole the show; Walter and Gale in their rainbow bandanas, tongues wagging, greeting everyone enthusiastically as they made their way through the crowd towards where everyone was lining up for the parade. Something Darrius had been looking forward to for a while now -- the chance to just get out, have fun, walk off the teeny bit of a hangover from the night before. Walter had just approached someone new, tail wagging, tongue out, when Darrius looked to see who it was -- but the boots stole his attention first. "Those are... by far the best shoes I have seen this weekend."

WHEN: November 18, 2023

Well, he had done better than he expected to, and that in and of itself was worthy of pride. And possibly chicken wings. As Jason found himself making the walk from the finish of the race towards Mack's, he fell into step with a semi-familiar blonde, recognizing her from around town. "Kennedy, right?" he asked, offering a polite smile. "Mind a little company on the walk over?"
