Thinking about my ultimate comfort character/ soulmate Draken being so keyed into your emotions that he can tell something is wrong by just the way your breathing, the way your sigh is longer than usual, how you walk around listlessly.

You don’t even have to say anything to him before he appears behind you, long arms wrapping around your waist pulling you into him in the most heart pounding, warm, soul calming, purely sensual embrace. His breath fawns over your nape as his head finds its place in the crook of your neck, lips curling into a soft smile as you gasp in surprise , waiting for you to relax.

What a fool he was.

Had he not heard the water running as he walked down the hall? Not felt the steadily rising temperature? Had he been that distracted that he paid absolutely no attention to the closed door, any of the sounds or smells coming from within? Especially when knowing that he was not alone here.

Part of him wants to say that it’s her fault in a way. For making her way into his head and taking over all of his thoughts. For forcing him to second guess himself and every action he took when it came to her. Such as that crap he pulled back in the bar with the business card... but still that’s no excuse for what he had just done. In the end, he knew that it was no one’s fault but his own for allowing her to so easily run amok in his head.

As silver-blue irises stare over at the woman currently in the shower, he found himself standing there frozen for a moment. Steam continued to rise, hints of dripping skin just barely seen. Both a blessing and a curse to the Pureblood. Just enough in clear sight to leave the man yearning for more.

Just turn around and walk out. Don’t play the game. Not here, not now.

He refuses to let his gaze fall, remaining above the woman’s neck. “You’d think considering that where you are,” in his hotel, in his room, showering in his bathroom.... “that you’d at least lock the door.” Why must he comment at a time like this?
