This is Jack. Jack is my eldest son who is 7 years old. He has developmental delay, Autism, sensory processing disorder, XYY syndrome and speech and language delay. He is the most amazing little man. This lockdown has been so hard for him, out of his routine and not being able to do the things he loves (he says he misses Mac Donald’s so much!) But he has tried so hard... helping me work from home, doing his daily homework, playing with his little brothers and adapting to a life which is very different to one he knows. The Kent Autistic Trust are such a wonderful organisation offering lots of advice and support, and we are so grateful, so Jack coloured the staff a picture and we put together some donations of ready meals and snacks for their amazing staff! Jack loved doing this, and we hope the staff enjoyed their meals and Fava beans. Special shout out to all the parents of children with additional needs.... as it’s a tough time for us all.
