Idk if you do tvd meta anymore, but I was wondering what your thoughts on Damon/Rebekah were/are?

Tbh I haven't watched TVD in a while but Damon and Rebekah were a fun dynamic to watch because of their personalities and strong on-screen presence. Physically, they had good chemistry and great banter too because they have the same cutting sense of humour and give as good as they get. They also liked to fuck with each other for the sheer fun of it which I got a kick out of.

I didn't see particularly any substance in their interactions and don't think they would've worked as a serious couple because they're too similar. However, I could've seen them developing an intense sexual relationship with the potential to morph into an obsessive and toxic dynamic with genuine feelings underneath it all.

Now that I think about it, that would've been fun to watch. I do think that TVD held back slightly in exploring the darker side of vampire-vampire relationships and Damon/Rebekah could've been a great way to explore that more, especially considering the conflict that them being together would create in regards to the people around them.

I do also think that generally their dynamic was refreshing in comparison to most of Damon's romantic interests because Rebekah could hold her own and didn't take his shit. But honestly, I love Rebekah so much and think she could do so much better than Damon 😂

if these did all happen in the same world though i just want to say damon and rebekah get together first followed by klaus and bonnie (bonnie went with stefan and klaus for the summer here)
