After Effects Tutorials
One of the first videos I saw when I arrived at graduate school was a primer on animation called The Illusion of Life by cento lodigiani. This little video was inspired by principles of animation developed by Walt Disney animators in the late 1930′s. I was inspired by this video and the tutorials we watched from Lynda.com to look more into animation curves in Adobe After Effects. Intro to Animation Curves in After Effects
In this tutorial you get to learn the finer points of the visual graph animator and how to create an authentic bounce animation. This tutorial was helpful as it showed me how I can create some of the effects I saw in the Illusion of Life video by Cento Lodigiani.
Soft Body Dynamics
Similar to the other tutorial this one focuses on another of the 12 principles of animation. The video was a little dry though and I wish that Vimeo would have a 2x play back speed so I could have skipped over the slower parts.
