Two years ago today I was in Africa. My first time out of the country and over seas. ❤️ #kenya2016 #kenya #africa #love #missions

One moment in KENYA I still remember.... This song still ministers to my spirit everyday. GOD BLESS THESE GOLDEN VOICES! #kingdomgenerals #Kenya2016 #Mummypurity #Prophetessnekesa (at Kenya Cultural Centre incorporating Kenya National Theatre -KNT)
Loving all the pictures that have been resurfacing in honor of our 1 year mark. #kenya2016 #nctkenyamissions
A year ago today we were in Kenya, Africa. Right after having the privilege of sharing a piece of my testimony to roughly 1,200 children I found myself being taken to the ground by this group of kids. I still remember that day like it was yesterday. 🌍❤ #nctkenyamissions #Kenya #kenya2016 #love #missiontrip #nakuru #mission

‘Twas the night before...
Tomorrow afternoon I take off for Kenya with my 16 other team members! After months of planning, it’s hard to believe that the time is almost here! We will arrive in Nairobi early Sunday morning (Saturday evening still in the US) and have a full schedule for the following week! We will attend orientation and learn more about Missions of Hope who we wil be serving alonside with for the week. I love attending orientation because it’s an opportunity to see how much MOHi has grown since my last visit. I’m excited to see all the new additions, including the new school that is being built in Bondeni, the comunity that Traders Point has partnered with. Our team will be serving in Bondeni all week. As I mentioned in a previous post, our biggest project for the week is leading field trips on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. For most of the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students going on these trips, it willl not only be their first field trip, but their first time seeing an elepahnt too! Along with the field trips, myself and three other teachers will be leading lessons on conservation and poaching. If you have the chance, I highly recommend you check out the Facebook page for the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. It has lots of great information and pictures of cute baby elephants!
Even more exciting than field trips and baby elepants is the opportunity I will have to reconnect with the teachers I have met on previous trips and the opportunity to spend some time visiting with the little girl my family sponsors to attend school. Plus, our team has some special surprises in store to love on and appreciate the Bondeni staff. It will be a full week of visits, reconnecting, and deepening relationships with the staff and children at the school. I can’t wait!
Well before I try to get some sleep, I want to make sure that I thank you all for your prayers and support as I have been preparing to make this trip back to Kenya. For the first time, I am fully funded to travel to Kenya! In fact, I was over funded and some of those funds were able to go to other team members who were still raising support. Thank you all for this HUGE blessing! It means so much to me that so many of you share in this passion of mine to serve in Kenya. I couldn’t do this without your support! Asante Sana!!
I would love and appreciate your continued prayers for not only myself, but the rest of my team as we prepare to travel. Pray for smooth flights and peace of mind as we all travel halfway around the world! Pray that we can be a blessing and a support to the MOHi staff and students over the next two weeks. Pray that we can be the light of Christ to those who don’t yet know Him.
Thank you again! I will try to keep the updates coming over the next two weeks!
