just saw your reblog! that's really sweet of you tysm🥺 yes yes i AM interested in hearing more about what you know of Eshe and the duchess! i think my friendship lvl with Eshe is already maxed out, but honestly it happened so long ago that i might've forgotten what she told me or if the quest said anything more about their relationship

So at some point, Eshe kinda opens up a little bit about what happened with Kenyara.

They used to be really close friends and eventually dated. Together, they made these big plans to govern Bahari together and be this super strong power couple…

And then Kenyara convinced Eshe that the best way to ensure their success was for Eshe to marry Kenli and govern Kilima while she remained the Duchess of Bahari. She convinced Eshe that would be the best way for them to have the most influence…

Cut to a few decades later and Eshe is stuck in some tiny town with a husband she didn’t really choose for herself and Kenyara has power over her because she’s the duchess and Eshe isn’t even the official leader of Kilima.

As far as I remember, we haven’t been given a lot of info on why Kenyara turned on Eshe like that… based on the fact that they somewhat named their kids after each other, I’m assuming it happened while Kenyatta and Eshelon were kids.

I just wanted you to see this! Saw this while looking through the Wiki. While I did get the first half of dialogue I’ve never seen the second half!

Ooooo whoa.. makes me wonder is Kenyara strung Eshe along and used her love against her. Got her to marry her brother instead and shipped them off. I mean the "you just had to go and sour my mood, didn't you" 😬
