i had a realization in my class this evening that the reason matt stiffened and referred to shiro as “sir” when they reunited in season 4 was because they were in front of other people and he almost called shiro “babe” but he had to be formal, but shiro pulls him in for a hug bc he’s just like “fuck that formal shit, c’mere”
