She didn’t feel good. She didn’t feel good at all, actually.
Leti woke up in an infirmary, completely different from the one back in Caleb’s organisation, and this already terrified her. She didn’t remember falling injured or anything like that, and she had certainly never been in a room like this before. So why, why was she here all of a sudden? Concern flashed through her mind and projected upon her features in an instant, as people close to her were her major worries. Where was the organisation? Caleb? Myrina? Tobias?
Kerrick...
Kerrick! Her partner, her lover. He was nowhere to be found, at all! Darting round the bloodied corridors, Leti slammed into locked doors, pushing with all she had in order to try and open them. With no avail, in a blind panic, the angel began to rush again, calling out for whoever she could, running around these corridors as though her life physically depended on it. As soon as the angel hit another corner, she found herself colliding with someone a lot taller, and caught mid-panic, she didn’t recognise the body at first, a yelp escaping her as she leaned her hands against the chest of the other. Though, gaining her bearings, and staring up at the male, an expression of relief couldn’t have come any faster for her, as the face was the one of the man she had just been calling out for.
That man was Kerrick, her lover.
“Dear God, Kerrick!” She sighed, allowing herself to wrap her arms around her partner in content knowing that it was he in front of her now. “Don’t scare me like that! Oh God, I’m so glad you’re here!” In near tears, Leti kept a hold of Kerrick, incredibly content where she was if she was in his arms.
