I'm a bit of an Irish-phile. I attended Trinity College Dublin for a Master of Philosophy in Irish Theatre Studies research degree in 97-98. • The lack of use of this degree has nothing on my life's experience living in Dublin. • Galway on the west coast was my favorite place, the one you plan on running away to in your head when life where you are is just not as magical. • Per the little baking book I purchased in a bookshop there, the first of the Irish recipes of March is a Kerry Apple Cake. • Recipe will be on aquarreloffeasts.com (click link in profile) today. A loaf is a great vehicle, and the recipe can be made in a mixer or a bowl. It's deceptively easy and much more delicious than you think the effort will produce. • Makes for great Irish tea time with breakfast. The loaf is moist not from any milk, but from the abundance of apples, but also light, fluffy, and covered in a textured crust of cinnamon spiced sugar. • I went for green apples for their awesomeness at baking and their Irish green hue. • Happy almost springtime🍃🍏 • • • • #aquarreloffeasts #foodblogger #stpatricksday #irishbaking #kerryapplecake #applecake #irishcake #loafcake #foodtography #foodtographyschool #grannysmith #spring #teatime #feedfeed #feedfeedbaking (at Brooklyn, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9ewlEJFVB7/?igshid=hsqbl6uvgfbs
