In Memory of Laura-Lee aka @kerryjamesfans
I was told earlier today that one of the bravest, strongest and selfless people I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing had passed away.
Some of you here, “the oldies”, might recognize the name Laura-Lee. She was a huge fan of Caleb and admired Kerry James which is why I wanted to attach a gif of Caleb from the episode “Fearless” into this post because I think this is one of the most beautiful moments with Caleb (and I think Laura-Lee too appreciated seeing this cowboy turning into a literal “knight in a shining armour”), but also because to me Laura-Lee seemed fearless. I know the truth is probably that she was scared a lot during these last few years of her life, but she still kept going and she still kept loving everyone around her so purely, and to me that is someone who is fearless.
Even though we never met with LL in “real life”, she still always represented this peace and light to me and I was always happy whenever I saw one of her posts or just her name pop up somewhere. While seeing her name now makes me sad, as it’s a sad thing to lost someone so young and so incredible, I will try my best to hold onto that lovely feeling more than anything whenever I think about her in the future - and I will always remember her.
I hope you’ve find rest and peace, Laura-Lee. Thank you for giving even a little bit of your time to this fandom and to the people in this fandom. I hope healing for your family and friends and that you continue to watch them over like you did all these years.
You can count on me for revisiting this video of you and your little boy to help me remember you as the amazing person that you were.
