The fate of Ophelia - I see the appeal of transforming the fate of Ophelia into losing sanity for elf reasons like a mind break or shattering, but also if we just keep it meaning exactly what it already means, what if it was Biana about Dex 🥺 I know this ship isn’t canon (yet) (I can hope) but does anyone see the vision? It could also be marellinh because of the pyro imagery

Elizabeth Taylor - to me this is Sophie struggling with the spotlight on everything she does and hoping that what she has with Keefe can actually last. Like “all her lovers are forever” because the council is KEEPING TABS ON THE LOVE TRIANGLE and she’s “been number one” in terms of gossip and who people are talking about but she just wants her relationship to be happy even amidst it all

Opalite - I have to sokeefe it. It’s just so cute as sokeefe. But it could also be any number of relationships during their wholesome honeymoon phases

Father Figure - it’s sorta giving vacker legacy vibes? The Neverseen-connected stuff, especially with Alvar Vacker. Not to make the vackers a mafia for the sake of song but—

Eldest Daughter - this song is VERY Sophie coded. Her “terminal uniqueness,” her emotional caring too much and just owning that she does care even if that doesn’t make her seem like a badass in the moment, taking a lot of heat on the publicity front because the lost cities are what they are and Sophie is what she is… you know. It could also be a really good Dex song or even just a Dizznee song in general. In fact, hang on, what if this song was Juline about marrying Kesler. Think about it… what if it was

Ruin the Friendship - luckily we haven’t had any main character deaths yet (knock on wood) and I don’t imagine anyone going wow I really should’ve kissed Mr Forkle. However the closest I can think is perhaps Fitz or Keefe about Sophie in book one when they thought she and Dex were dead.

Actually Romantic - this is a fintante song if I ever heard one. Also perhaps Keefe and Tam.

Wi$h Li$t - now THIS is a Kesline song. This is Juline singing to Kesler and you can’t tell me otherwise.

Wood - lmao the sex song ✨ you know what? Gradaline. Next

Cancelled! - THE NEVERSEEN please it’s SO Neverseen coded. But it’s also the main crew being a part of the black swan, and this idea of scars perhaps being applied to Biana… also, “they stood by me before my exoneration” could be a great line to apply to Sophie given all those tribunals she’s known for. So you know what? I assign this song to Keeper Of The Lost Cities: the hit book series by Shannon Messenger. You decide whose POV the song is from today cause it’s a damn good song for these characters.

Honey - what if this was Marella finally giving someone (Linh or otherwise) permission to call her by a nickname because she knows it won’t be condescending?🥺

The Life of a Showgirl - again, this could work for. A LOT of the characters. The first to come to mind are Oralie (choosing to be on the council above everything else and her personal life suffering for it), or perhaps Sophie (being irrevocably in the spotlight because of being the moonlark), or maybe Biana (born into her family’s celebrity status and now a part of a rebel group), Fitz even though he’s not a showgirl… there’s a lot of directions to go with this one, since the public eye is trained on a lot of the characters we are familiar with.

i have only one specific kesline hc but i've thought about it so much it's sickening

so we know the story of them and how juline's parents made her complete the elite levels before marrying kesler. i feel like kesler didn't want her to feel like she was completing the elite levels for him, but that she was doing it for herself, so he kind of distanced himself and basically broke things off because he didn't want to bog her down while she was studying. he wanted her to experience other people since they had been together for so long and she likely had never been with anyone else. she appreciated the gesture but if anything it just distracted her more knowing that kesler genuinely thought she was gonna find someone new and leave him for a good match. needless to say though, she of course found him after she graduated (at the original slurps and burps, he used those two years to perfect his recipes and kick off his business) and they kiss kiss fall in love and they're all better. tldr kesline working through bad match insecurities UAGAGHH

bonus point when gradaline made that same deal with jolie, kesler begged brant not to do what he'd done and to just be confident in their relationship because he realized that he was just making it more difficult for juline if he just straight up wasn't there to support her.
