You’re right thanks for putting that on the post. The thing that sold Ro on the lost cities not being all that bad was sokeefe, and more specifically Keefe beating her dad in a spar and then Sophie yelling at him for it and then taking a sample of his blood to open a door without him, and now she’s invested and she’ll be damned before she sees either of them screw that relationship up. Unfortunately this means that since this is the one plot point she is invested in she finds a way to insert it into every single conversation 😂

Whatever else one can say about Tolkien, deciding to resolve accidentally using the same elf name twice by going "actually, it's the same guy; yeah, he just walked back to Middle-Earth from the afterlife – in fact, all elves can technically do that, but he's the only one who did" was kind of a move.

See this is why there are no “watsonian” or “doylist” explanations for anything that happens in LOTR because you see, the author will 100% commit to the in-story explanation no matter what.

Sophie is an extremely forgiving person with both Keefe and Fitz actually. She’s incredibly quick to accept apologies. It’s a really sweet trait of hers and shows how kind she is, and I do think it’s important for us all to remember that the pattern of writing off Keefe’s issues and fixating on Fitz’s whole holding a grudge is really NOT a Sophie Foster thing, and more of a… certain parts of the fandom thing
