I just love Tris/Keth so much??? They play off each other so well?? I don't think Tris and Keth would be MADLY and DEEPLY in love. It's more like, yes they love each other romantically but more so the companionship they give each other and the way they treat each other would make for a great partnership and a happy home and I think that's what they both want more than anything, especially more than some passionate romance. Tbh at least Tris would probably be uncomfortable with really allo type stuff.

But Keth makes her blush and teases and argues just enough but finally gives in which lbr is what Tris would like in a man. Meanwhile Keth's the kinda guy who needs to be knocked back into shape when he gets in a Mood with 20% overbearing fussing 10% surprisingly sincere advice and support and 70% being yanked up by the scruff of his neck and kicked into action, which happens to be Tris's specialty. They would bicker A LOT I love bickering couples omfg. There is just enough arguing and just enough brisk no-nonsense handling of the other's bullshit and just enough honest if sometimes awkward care and affection. They are in perfect balance for each other, a deep heartfelt bond that will last and just enough chemistry to keep it fun.  

I want them to get married and have like SIX KIDS and let me tell you that is not my usual ship MO but, god. They both would love that so much. They would be so happy. Tris as a wife and mother and weather mage in Namorn. Normal and respected and loved. God. They have a bunch of dogs and Chime and Glaki is there too she is their kid. 

And just, living up in Namorn. Tris is so happy its so cold and windy and stormy. She can be a weather mage predicting blizzards and no one asks her to hurt anyone with her power. Keth teaching Tris to ice skate. Keth fussing over pregnant Tris and she would act so annoyed (which, good, he knows how much she likes to complain) but really glowing with this love and concern. Keth teaming up with Salt in Kugisko, making more of those globes, saving the day, but also making beautiful glass to sell. Glaki has a mommy and a daddy and a warm home and is a gifted lil mage who will get her accreditation from the Mage's Society. Everyone's so goddamn happy.

Before Keth could jerk away, Tris stood on tiptoe to kiss his cheek. A spark jumped between. They both grinned.

"Did you sleep at all?" Tris asked, seeing the lightning's power blaze through his skin.

"A little," he said, "But I had an idea, and I wanted to test it."

On a black silk cord around her neck dangled a bright red flamelike piece of glass, its tail twisted to form a loop for the cord. On either side of it hung two smaller, blue glass flames. "Keth, this is beautiful," she whispered.

[Tris] sighed. Using a counterclockwise motion, she wiped the signs from her temples, and lurched. A strong arm caught her. She look up into Keth's face. "Why are you mauling me?" she demanded, struggling weakly. She felt as wrung out as a sheet on laundry day.

Something on Keth's face looked suspiciously like a smile. Tris gave up her fight and groped in her sash for her spectacles. 

"I had to stop you from falling into Antonou's well," he explained, his voice quivering. "They'd never get the taste of mage out of the water."

Tris shoved her glasses onto her nose and glared at him. He was smiling. What's so funny?" she growled.

"You. Did you know it's almost midday?" Keth set Tris on her feet.

She was the strangest girl, he thought as she settled Glaki in the corner. Kind when she was teaching, testy when people argued with her, briskly caring with the child. He would love to know her life's story.

Keth frowned as the older man helped his teacher stand so she could remove her magical barrier on the workshop. As Tris's student it was his job to look after her, not Dema's.

If [Keth] hadn't been drunk with exhaustion, he never would have said what he did: "You're actually a nice person, aren't you?"

She went beet red, "No," she retorted. Steering Glaki in front of her, she walked away...

"It's the farthest thing from my mind," she assured him, watching threads of color in the breeze that flowed between the window and the door. The threads all came to hover around Keth, lighting on his eyes, his jaw, his chest, making him sparkle in Tris's sight.

i mean it's magic wind scrying light whatever but the fact that tris is looking at keth with his pretty eyes and his strong jaw and his bare fucking chest and he's sparkling is just, oh my god, oh my god

Lighting jumped overhead, lacing the sky. Keth wondered if Tris was on Ferouze's roof right now, and wished he was there with her, gripped by lightning.

"...But you could learn to mold and pull glass. I've seen how you admire the work." 

Tris looked at the ground to hide her blush of pleasure. "I'd love to."
