This low-carb BBQ 🥩Sauce recipe looks delicious 😍ESPECIALLY over some juicy ribs 🦴
This sauce takes 30 minutes to make!
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of butter.
- 1/4 a cup of diced onion.
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced.
- 1 tablespoon of chilli powder.
- 1/2 a teaspoon of sea salt.
- 1/2 a teaspoon of ground black pepper.
- 1 cup of no sugar added ketchup (see link above for info).
- 1/4 a cup of apple cider vinegar.
- 1/2 (2 tablespoons) a lemon of freshly squeezed juice.
- 3 tablespoons of golden monk fruit sweetener (see link above for info) OR sukrin gold (see link above for info in the notes section).
- 2 tablespoons of worcestershire sauce.
- 1 tablespoon of dijon mustard.
- 1.5 teaspoons of liquid hickory smoke.
(This sauce recipe makes 1 cup)
Instructions
Step One: Heat a small saucepan on medium-high with some butter. Dice up the onion and add it to the saucepan once the butter has melted, the fry the onion until it’s translucent. Stir in the minced garlic, chilli powder, sea salt, and the ground black pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
Step Two: Add in the no sugar added ketchup, apple cider vinegar, sweetener of your choice, lemon juice, worcestershire, dijon mustard, and the liquid hickory smoke. Whisk until combined fully.
Step Three: Heat up the sauce until it comes to a boil, then reduce to a low simmer and cook for 20 minutes. Strain into a heat safe-bowl and discard the strained bits.
Step Four: Serve over ribs OR even steak. Enjoy!
Tip: You can store this keto BBQ sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks!
