Best & most lesbian way they could end Sabine’s story is for her and Shin to continue their strange and toxic relationship through Ahsoka s2 and… *sigh* the mandoverse movie… and at the end, when she gets back to the galaxy, Ketsu is waiting for her at the spaceport like: yeah, I know it hasn’t worked out literally any of the times we’ve tried before, but I’ve been thinking about it, and I want to give us a seventh chance

And Sabine’s like: Yeah for sure babe, but I found a half-feral ex-darksider. Can we keep her?

Ideas that involve Ketsu-Sabine-Shin

Everyone jokes about Sabine having a type and Ketsu looks at Shin (feral, violent, zero people skills) and has a crisis. (Honey no that’s not why it’s because you’re both dangerous women one of whom stabbed her and one of whom left her for dead.)

No one jokes about Sabine having a type but Ketsu sees the “tried to kill Sabine” parallels between her and Shin and has a different crisis. (This and above can work with Ketsu and Sabine as exes or still together.)

Someone: “why are you dating Shin? She tried to kill you” Sabine: “I just happened to be the job; it wasn’t personal! …oh hey Ketsu”

Sabine already knew she found women who’ve tried to kill her hot. New feeling for Ketsu though!

Shin is jealous of Ketsu not for romantic reasons but because she also occupies the “gf who used to be my enemy” spot. Ketsu wants to move on from ‘used to be my enemy’ and is perfectly fine with Shin taking that position.

Sabine: “that person who stabbed me was really hot” Ketsu: “why don’t you ask her out next time lol” [later] Ketsu: “this might be my fault”

Sabine and Ketsu were on a break when the show took place. Ketsu thinks Sabine is dating Shin to make her jealous. Shin thinks Sabine is dating her to make Ketsu jealous. Sabine genuinely likes Shin. Efforts to convince them both of that are hindered by Sabine’s complete inability to hide her feelings for Ketsu and the fact that she hasn’t had the polyam convo with either of them yet.

Sabine is dating Shin to make Ketsu jealous. (I think Ketsu would be disgusted if Sabine was using someone/ playing with their feelings, especially to make her jealous.)

During the decade timeskip Sabine had a lot of flings but Ketsu was her only recurring hookup/ booty call/ etc. Ketsu assumes Shin is just another fling

Shin is another fling and Ketsu assumed she isn’t and moves on

Ketsu assumes Shin is a Mandalorian who isn’t wearing her full kit. She doesn’t speak Mando’a which is uncommon but happens sometimes if someone has language difficulties and chooses to focus on another language, recently got adopted into the culture, etc. It takes her an embarrassingly long time to realize. Bonus of Ketsu not connecting “Sabine hooked up with with an ex-darksider” and “Sabine’s new gf Shin”

All three of them get together. Ketsu swaps out one of her purple contacts (for Sabine) for a gray one.

Ketsu: “this has never crossed my mind before but do you find the fact that I tried to kill you hot?” Sabine: …um

Ketsu is in a really good stable place in life. Shin hears all the jokes about Sabine having a type and assumes Ketsu having her shit together is a front
