Stanton Moore & Scott Kettner At NAMM 2012
We happened to run across Stanton Moore and Scott Kettner at LP’s NAMM 2012 booth, where the two demonstrated the musical applications of the new Stanton Moore Pandeiro. With Moore on a hand percussion drum kit and Kettner playing a traditional pandeiro, the duo interwove Brazilian rhythms and techniques with greasy second-line street beats.

Quick test of my recording rig in my newish apartment. It’s been way to long since I cranked my First Act through the Switchblade. Every time I play that amp I can’t remember why I’m trying to sell it.

Manifest your dreams through vision-boarding and intuitive writing during this 7-hour workshop! You will learn tangible techniques to identify your dreams, give life to your inner voice, and manifest your deepest desires. This process is different than what you may expect, because we will be creating from a different viewpoint, using paint, cut-outs, and writing intuitively straight from the subconscious. It is incredibly fun, spiritually invigorating, inspiring--and you end up with a work of art as well as practices that you can use on a daily basis! It will take place in my studio on Kettner Blvd, in the heart of Little Italy, possibly the most artistic and inspiring niche in San Diego! Call (760) 500-5633 for more information and to secure your spot. There are only 8 spots available, so call as soon as possible! :) The cost of this workshop is $150 What to bring: -As many old magazines/catalogues as possible to clip pictures and bits of text from. -In an effort to be environmentally efficient, we will be re-purposing old canvasses and outdated paintings in this workshop, so bring your own recycled/re-used canvas. It should be a large enough surface to express yourself on (I reccommend roughly 24'x24' or larger) and this surface can be wood or canvas. -You should also bring a sack lunch. Other than the re-purposed canvasses and lunch, I will provide all the materials and instruction you need for this cutting-edge exercise.
