It's important to clean your Keurig often so that your coffee in the morning tastes fresh and good. Keep your Keurig clean and running well by following these easy steps.
Ingredients: 1 cup white vinegar. 1 cup water. Paperclip or a small brush. Mild dish soap. Microfiber cloth or paper towels.
Instructions: Unplug your Keurig and remove the water reservoir and drip tray. Mix 1 cup of white vinegar with 1 cup of water in a container. Dip a microfiber cloth or paper towel into the vinegar-water solution and wipe down the exterior of your Keurig to remove any coffee stains or residue. Remove the drip tray and K-Cup holder. Wash them with mild dish soap and rinse thoroughly. Use a paperclip or a small brush to clean out the exit needle, puncture needle, and the K-Cup holder where coffee grounds can accumulate. Be gentle to avoid damaging any parts. Fill the water reservoir with the vinegar-water solution and place an empty mug on the drip tray. Turn on your Keurig and run a brew cycle without inserting a K-Cup. This will help clean the internal components of the machine. Once the brew cycle is complete, empty the mug and rinse the water reservoir thoroughly. Refill the water reservoir with clean water and run another brew cycle without a K-Cup to rinse out any remaining vinegar residue. Repeat the rinsing process with clean water until there is no vinegar smell remaining. Wipe down the exterior of your Keurig with a clean, damp cloth to remove any remaining residue or vinegar smell. Reassemble the drip tray and K-Cup holder. Plug your Keurig back in and enjoy your freshly cleaned coffee maker!
