A frown forming along his features he fell quiet lowering his gaze. "You weren’t in the room..I thought..” he trailed off glancing up to him. “I got worried.” he shrugged obviously showing some sort of connection with the prophet. “You said you would sit in the room if I did rest.”

"I feel safer.” the irony in that, but at the same time, he truly did feel safer with someone else in the room to watch over him. He didn’t prefer to be alone, he is always around Sam, or Dean, or Castiel and even Gabe. “..are you going to come back..?”

She hasn’t been paying too much attention to anything, happily basking in the warmth like a cat lazing in a sunbeam. Doesn’t even really notice that there’s anyone near her until they’re blocking her sun, and she feels the weight of something settling in her hair.

Nina frowns and cracks an eye open, hand lifting to examine her new accessory before she smiles at Kevin.

“What’s snow like?”

She knows what it is of course, even if she’s only learned about it recently, but she’d never seen it. Reading and TV can only impart so much wisdom. “Is it nice?”

He was so intently staring at the tablet while it must’ve been a half hour of Jack being easily amused by this. He glanced to him when Kevin turned and said a greeting resulting in a smile forming onto his lips. “Hello.” he looked back to the tablet while clasping his hands together cocking his head to the side. He glanced back to him while raising his eyebrows. “..Sam told me to watch over you.” Jack took that request..quite literally which Sam didn’t really want him to watch Kevin, Sam was just wanting Kevin to mainly watch Jack in the first place.

“Because it’s funny.” She grins, hopping up onto the sofa next to Kevin and kneeling there so she can watch him open his present. She’s not overly experienced with birthdays, aren’t surprises supposed to be a part of them?

“Not a bomb, wouldn’t be so obvious. Open it!” To  be honest she isn’t sure how he’s going to take the gift, but finding his old address hadn’t been that hard, and getting there...well, travel was easy for a cambion. So she’d gone, she’d carefully looked through the photo albums to find the perfect picture of Kevin and his mom, and had it framed. She hopes it’s okay.
