Kewpee Hotel Hamburgs- Harrison St.

Kewpee Hamburgers was the 2nd known chain of fast-food hamburger franchises founded by Sam Blair in 1923 in Flint, MI.  The restaurant was named after the Kewpie doll, which was based on a cartoon character. Kewpee was the first restaurant to have curbside service, eventually incorporating a drive-thru. Although Kewpie is no longer open for business here in the city, it’s headquarters are now located in Lima, OH with locations in Lansing, MI & Racine, WI.
