For whatever reason, this year in particular, I've seen many more posts about the fact KHUX ended four years ago. So, I wanted to make something for the date. It's actually adapted from a render I originally made for my friend's birthday, the friend whose at-the-time self-insert was Livi (the one on screen right of the first image, with dark hair and cat ears). Maybe that's ironic, but it worked out.
Livi is Aria's Nobody counterpart, which is why the two of us are making the same but mirrored pose; however, our expressions are different. Aria is curling her wings around the other two, the only other people she cares about in this world. And then Clio is here as well, one arm holding her girlfriend close, and looking out upon the oncoming destruction with an expression I deliberately tried to make difficult to interpret.
Despite the caption, things didn't actually play out like this in my version of events - at least, not in the sense of the three of us standing together at the end as is depicted. Clio takes the role of Player, so she pretends to become possessed by a true Darkness by drawing on Aria's darkness, who is waiting in the wings to aid her. Livi's fate was much more ambiguous, but.. if memory serves, their status as a Nobody whose Heartless counterpart remained alive (since Aria escaped the destruction by going into the Realm of Darkness) meant they ended up in the Final World.
Still, I thought the image would be neat - and I like how it turned out in the end. I hope you do as well!
