Tuesday 7/8/14 Networking with Will
This week was a good one.
We started with introductions of names and businesses. We had a networking game that built on the previous week where we had people search out their names on sticky notes. We found that more people found their name when they had help versus when they did it themselves.
This week's networking game was called Do You Know Me? We handed out sticky notes with group members names on them and asked them to find out what other people know about that person.
Afterwards, we discussed Networking techniques. Most notably how to follow up. Most business is lost because people fail to send a follow up email within 24 hours. You don't have to schedule a meeting but just a nice email recapping your conversation helps to build the relationship.
Our value statement was a high concept pitch. Example: The movie Speed was Die Hard on a Bus!

I am hosting a weekly event called Keynotes for Kids. It will teach kids leadership skills that are important for success.
