Friend: Wow, I really love this [favorite book/favorite movie]! I really wish there was some good fanfiction about it.
Me: *someone who has a million different fanfictions in progress* Oo! I like that [book/movie] too! I can write some fanfiction for you, or we can collaborate and write it together! It would be so fun!
Friend: Don't you already have a bunch of fanfictions in the process with your other friends too?! You have school work also, if you try and write this with me, you'll never get anything done!
Me: Bold of you to assume that I get anything done in the first place.
