#Thumbnails. An integral part in the animation pipeline. They give you an idea of which #KeyPoses you have to hit when you are animating an action. They also allow you to convey your idea to the director and make corrections if need be, before you put in a lot of work. #WIP #Parkour #Jump (at City Varsity: School Of Media And Creative Arts Johannesburg Campus.)

Key Poses:

These are the main key poses for my jump sequence with dialogue starting with Tom with his head held high, stubborn, and not willing to make the jump across this ‘river.’

He then realises everyone ran off and panicking shouting ‘Hey, wait for me!’ forcing him to make the jump. Tom then gets up and realises people are looking at him being scared of the jump quickly snapping back to him snobby pose.

This is the rough key poses and final shot - I made this when animating this shot for the BBC Radio 4 weather series.  She is a wind witch who collects the wind into knots and sells them to sailors (so they can control the wind when sailing.)
