I think you should do you. In the end of the day, it's your skin. Natural beauty is the best kind of beauty. If they are really your friends, they will accept and love you no matter if you wear makeup or not. Everybody talks about everybody, so you might as well do what makes you happy and comfortable and what is best for you. You are beautiful no matter what.
