That’s also one of the main reasons why pirates embraced it.

There is a weak spot though. In order to download something, you need a torrent or magnet link. These are available through torrent sites which, as history has shown, can disappear overnight.

GnuPG-2.1 quick commands

With the move from GnuPG=1.4 to GnuPG>=2.1 there are several new quick commands which make some common tasks easier.

I am still not sure of the status of GnuPG~=2.0, but it seems to behave more like 1.4 than anything else. Certainly the dirmngr commands mentioned here are not available in it. This is slightly irritating as CentOS/RHEL and friends are still on 2.0

As usual once I had managed to zero in on the area of interest I found more useful references, specifically lelutin.ca posted some useful information on the dirmgr changes.
