I got the lucky chance to ride Amtrak’s Keystone Service from Philly to New York and I have to say I am in love. This is just about the best of what Amtrak could be doing everywhere and it is criminal we are not doing this for more American cities
We really need to nationalize the rail network, and give Amtrak a budget to rival the US military

An Amtrak Metroliner (now in Keystone service) meets Reading (SEPTA) RDC No. 9163 in Parkesburg, PA. The RDC is heading for the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg to be restored as Lehigh Valley No. 40. The Budd car made it this far under its own power, but glided to a stop at the signal here with a mechanical issue. An Amtrak work locomotive would be dispatched to tow it the rest of the way to Strasburg. March 03, 1984
