Sleep wasn’t really something that he needed to do, but it was still nice. Mentally he liked to shut off, that was something he’d always been adamant about. His body might not need it, but his mind needed the rest. And Kezia needed sleep to begin with, that was a given. “Ye should jus’ sleep.” It was a soft statement as he dared to wrap an arm around her middle, nuzzle his face into the back of her neck. Her attention was on her phone, her thumb idly scrolling but her lids looking heavy, face illuminated by her screen. “I’ll do it if ye do.” It was probably too much to throw in a fake yawn, his eyes closing as he pressed up behind her. It seemed to be enough, the soft huff she gave as she set her phone down not lost on him. Settled close together in the dimmed light of her bedroom, he listened as her heartbeat slowed to a rest.
