it was the one thing zhen had looked forward to all year, taewoo’s birthday, and this year he thought he could spice things up. since halloween was just around the corner and festivities have already begun, why not give tae a spooky surprise? zhen had been to multiple costume stores to find the best mask to wear for a jump scare. first thing in the morning he was going to make sure his roommate remember this forever. it ended up being a shrek mask, though, he wasn’t complaining. shrek was scary to some people, right? either way, it would still be out of nowhere, so he had hope that this would work.
zhen had set an alarm just so he could wake up a few minutes before the birthday boy, and waited to hear the shower start before putting on the mask. this wasn’t the only thing planned, but it was a good start to an exciting day. the boy slowly headed towards the bathroom, and made sure the door didn’t make too much noise as he tip toed in. he ripped open the shower curtain, and with one deep breath he yelled, “ get out me swamp! happy birthday, you big baby! ” // @eruditcs
