Yes, I'm aware of all that situation for the collection poster. To my understanding, it's some of both...tracing some poses (which is not an uncommon thing to do with the Disney characters TBF), utilizing one version of the poster, and then using AI to basically extrapolate out another version of the poster.

But however you want to slice it, it's pretty gross and insulting for a series known for its incredible art and design to just toss out genAI garbage for us as if fans wouldn't notice. Really highlighting how little people there cared.

I never know who does or does not ship my favorite KH pairings...

But for the Ask Game: I'm curious about both Sokai (Kingdom Hearts) and Nuts & Dolts (RWBY).

So for Sokai, this one is really tricky because I feel like anything I’m coming up with just sounds like one of a million bits of edgy melodrama that was done to death 10+ years ago in the KH fandom? You know, all the ‘what if Sora and/or Kairi were DARK and EDGY?’ art and/or fics.

Honestly, I’m sorry to say I kinda got nothing here.

As for Nuts and Dolts, thankfully I have something a LOT more interesting; because honestly this isn’t even just a headcanon so much as it feels like an actual THEORY of something we could see in canon:

Namely, that Penny coming back again feels like it is VERY liable to seriously MESS RUBY UP. Like Ruby has had to deal with the grief of losing Penny TWICE, and now here she is AGAIN.

And depending on how well, or not, Penny understands the nuances of the grieving process, she could very well unwittingly mess Ruby up even MORE. As in, if it turns out that Penny actually did plan her revival at the end of Volume 8, eg; she actually did figure out how to piggyback her soul/consciousness onto the Maiden Powers and she’s now chilling in the back of Winter’s head until she can be extracted, then I can imagine her unwittingly trivializing her own death in a way that comes off as HORRIFICALLY insensitive to Ruby.

Like Penny expects to just drop right back into her friends’ lives and move on like nothing happened, and doesn’t really grasp how much of a struggle that is for them, especially Ruby.

I mean given all the parallels we’ve been seeing between Ruby/Penny and Salem/Ozma, I feel like it’s all too plausible that Ruby and Penny are going to have to deal with some serious relationship issues.

I need angst. I need sora kicking and screaming against how unfair everything is. I need him to brake down and collapse on the floor or hit something and be ANGRY!

I need people to be afraid for him; to see his anger and his pain and his fear and for them to be confronted with it so starkly that they CAN’T look away because they don’t know what they’ll find when they look back.

I need a fic where sora trashes yen sids office because it’s not FAIR! And he’s just a kid! I need a fan fic that feels like a scream because I want to scream but that’s not socially acceptable so I need Sora to scream.

Quite a bit mind-blown? I had been hoping Sora would show up in Smash at some point, and it was so nice to finally see him there! Although confession...I still haven't played the new Smash so I've never gotten to try him out ._.

Can I just say that I'm so, SO glad that BBS:FM includes a timeline that shows not only the chronological order of events, but also how LONG each world visit lasted compared to each other?

Seriously, it's SUCH a nifty visual aid! I wish re:COM had done something similar.

Yeah, I just looked it up myself and it is SO obvious they specifically had to say that Terra went to Dwarf Woodlands SECOND and Castle of Dream THIRD, because holy shit otherwise the only answer is time-travel.

The thing is though, given both the respective Battle Levels of those first three worlds for Terra (Enchanted Dominion - 1, CoD - 2, DW - 3) and even some of the writing/pacing for Terra's story that I'm seeing, I REALLY can't help but suspect there may have been a 'Oh shit this timeline makes no fucking sense!' realization in the BBS writers room after they wrote these first three worlds

(also my personal explanation is that all three of our protags have a tendency to get WAY too addicted to playing the Command Board lol I know I did XD)

How would you feel if all the worlds Sora visits in KH4 were other Square Enix games?

Completely disinterested. Pretty much the only thing that could get me back into playing KH4 is something along the lines of "Oh I've GOTTA actually play through that Disney world!"
