HI HELLO EVERYONE
IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED SKELETON CREW YET PLEASE DO SO!!!
LOOK!!!
WE HAVE A SPACE OWL!!!
She does research!!!!
So today on the Andor server as we discussed the latest episode of Skeleton Crew, we figured these two had to have had history, you know. And that Jod must have "backstabbed" her a couple times first.
Someone just had to speak the plain old truth:
And I don't have time for fic, but I did have the time and inspiration to draw that very first post nut clarity lmao. Lines below the cut
I cannot wait to see a Jedi member of Kh'ymm's species
Poster inspired by episode 3 of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew: “Very Interesting, As an Astrogation Problem,” by Chelsea Lowe.
My favorite element of the latest Star Wars adventure was how they naturally built up suspense and anticipation for Kh'ymm's appearance. It was almost as if they were holding out for a big celebrity appearance, or a cameo for a popular character...maybe something horrific, or unexpected. Perhaps a classic Wizard of Oz comedy bit where she has a huge majestic voice and then she's ten inches tall. Who knew what was coming? I didn't! Was it a shadow creature? A droid? A floating head? A Jedi? A Hutt?
We didn't know!
But the voice built mystery and anticipation!
And then came the payoff, and it WORKED.
Nothing could have prepared me for Kh'ymm's appearance (to say nothing of how to spell her name), but it was perfect. The moment she appeared, I knew everything I needed to about the character. I understood the archetype, her history, her interests, her capabilities, everything, all in just a few seconds.
It was PERFECT.
