Nunnally: Khaarl is definitely interesting! I have never met anyone like them. They have a very different style than I, than anyone I am used to, but it suits them. Is that not the most important?
Nunnally: I am afraid there is not much I can say about Khaarl. We have only spoken one and that was a very casual interaction. But I must say they definitely seem interesting and creative. That was my impression from our little Halloween talk.

Yuriko was almost jumping when she saw Khaarl as she walked out of a convenience store. She couldn't quite recall when they had last seen each other but she remembered embarrassingly well how she had stumbled onto a pole in this very same place once while Khaarl watched.
This time Yuriko knew better. She closed the space between them, making sure to keep enough distance from that threatening pole.
Before Yuriko had time to open her mouth, Khaarl had already pulled her into an embrace. Giggling, the kitsune girl wrapped her arms around her friend.
"Khaarl! How nice to see you! I was on my way back to the university but I'm in no hurry. How are you?" Yuriko patted Khaarl's back. "Do you want to hang out and do something fun together? What have you been up to? Please, tell me everything!"

The air was crisp behind the windows but warmth and spicy scents waffled in the kitchen of the Mukami manor. The gingerbread dough had been made ready the day before, for which Yuriko was grateful. Baking was not her strong suit, yet she truly wanted to try this out with her friend who arrived at the manor for the first time.
The mere thought made Yuriko happy. She had embarrassed herself earlier in front of Khaarl by walking into a pole when they had greeted her but this time… this time all would go well, right?
Though… the dough look huge and was still in a shape of a ball, sitting on the kitchen counter. It was difficult to imagine that it should be turned into a house.
“So… umh… Khaarl… have you made a gingerbread house before?” Yuriko asked, staring at the dough. She wasn’t quite sure where to begin even though she had said to Ruki that she could handle this. “I… I’ll get us some equipment…”
With a little rumble through the cabinets, Yuriko was able to locate the rolling pin and two aprons. She wrapped one around her waist and handed out the other to her friend.
“So… let’s get started. We need to make the dough flat, right?”
