although we aren’t sure just how invisible anyone is with the doombots, it is always a benefit to have anyone as inconspicuous as possible on our side. we will be in contact once a plan is formed and ready to execute.

to be fair, he could see why the woman thought it imposing. it was in that european gothic architectural style that was also the style of the churches back in new york city with their many spires and stained glass windows. but he’s long since adjusted to the fact that they were living in a place like that. grown men with powers always seem to be on the side of the dramatic. “you think he’s developing his buildings to look like this for that doom and gloom aesthetic?”

cindy hummed, her eyes on the book as she read every word. his calculations made quite a lot of sense, if she was being honest about it. but every paragraph just had to mention his name. supreme overlord doom this, supreme overlord doom that...just how did reed survive college with a person like this? “i’d be more interested reading this if it stopped mentioning doom in every paragraph.” and then he remembered where the other woman worked. “hey, you work with matt murdock now, right? what does he think about this egotist running this floating rock?” because if she was being completely honest about it, matt was a good conversationalist. daredevil, on the other hand, was too much of a drama queen.

to be fair, he didn’t exactly have the hulk powers at the moment and maybe going head-first against petty criminals was the worst thing he could do. well that and going on overdrive with his mind because he literally cannot afford to eat a lot these days, considering being a cinema boy didn’t really pay much. the frustration was understandably getting to him and he absolutely hated it. “i would pay good money for someone to knock me out today,” he groaned out, frustration painted all over his face.

he let out a chuckle, something so rare these days considering the situation that they were in. he was only reiterating what was said in the report, although he did understand why the woman before him would react that way. the writer of the report was, for the lack of a better term, using very pretentious words. “well i think this journalist is trying to get into the higher ranks in doom’s circle.” he’s read about political strategy in his undergraduate years; he’s pretty sure that part never changes.
