Raja held the utmost faith in Zina’s abilities. In the long while they shared a friendship, she rarely ever disappointed when commissioned for paranormal investigations. Even those many years ago, when her powers were just coming into fruition, she vastly exceeded Raja’s expectations: moving objects as large as automobiles for brief periods of time, reading their thoughts with relative ease. Most impressive of all was her ability to capture an item’s history. Was it precious? What was the name of the person that cared most deeply for it? Where did they live? How did they receive it? With enough concentration, Raja was certain Zina could answer any question they had.
As usual, they would not be disappointed.
“Do you?” Raja asked, smiling coyly. “And where might she be?”
