Star-shaped tile with phoenix, 1292 - 1293.

Although the Mongol invasions had a devastating effect on Persia, the II-Khanids - who were the Mongols’ successor in the region - ushered in a period of artistic florescences. Originally non-Muslims, the II-Khanids converted to Islam, patronized Islamic arts and revived the Persian economy and culture. They established trade between Central Asia and China, and much of the artistic creativity at that time in Persia was fueled by exposure to Chinese artworks and motifs. Here the traditional motif of the fenghuang (commonly called the Chinese phoenix, although mythological similarities with the Western phoenix are superficial), has been transformed and combined with the Persian simurgh, the auspicious bird of the Shahnama (Book of Kings). Chinese influence can also be seen in the rendering of the clouds. The border is inscribed with a lyrical poem about the qualities of the beloved: “Whose face is like the sun, if only the sun were adorned with Musk”. The upper right-hand corner contains a date of 691 in the Islamic calendar, or 1292 to 1293 CE.

Freedom Fighters
http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/item.php?type_id=17791 Freedom Fighters have dedicated their life to freeing those who have been enslaved by the Amarr Empire, Khanid Kingdom or various pirate factions. Their purpose is to bring freedom and equality to the population of the galaxy. But although their ultimate goal may be noble, their methods are often not approved by the Minmatar authorities, nor their allies the Gallente Federation. Their opponents call them terrorists, and they have been banned from the Caldari State due to the State's historical relationship with the Khanid Kingdom.
