Summary of painting: During this month of Ramadhan we fast from sun up to sundown and we're usually up at 4am preparing our Suhoor meal to begin our fast and the idea of being " awake" when most people are sleep made me understand the idea of being consciously existing while other people are unconsciously existing. The whole idea of being "woke" during this time of " Covid19" makes me see things differently since I'm fasting and absorbing spiritual education through reading my Qur'an daily. In Al Islam, Adam is seen as slipping, tripping or becoming "unbalanced" when he is in the garden, which means he became more of something and less of something else, he became unbalanced, unorganized in his way of thinking and satan ( a deceptive entity) was able to trick him or manipulate him because he was caught off gaurd. In this painting I'm creating a since for the viewers to become more balanced in thier thinking and not become extreme when it comes to this pandemic and all the atrocities that come with it. There are many "words" in this painting as in alot of my paintings that create thought and pondering for the viewer and that's part of what I want to convey in this piece. . . .
