It had happened before. The group stayed within Jack’s biotic bubble and firing into the advancing horde. A few vorcha lunged into the bubble before getting shot in the face by the rest of the team. Just as the real weight of the Blood Pack was about to crash down on the team, a series of explosions flashed amongst the swarm and showered the area with krogan and vorcha limbs. Steve landed behind the team in his shuttle. “Get in!” The team entered the shuttle and rocketed into space towards Normandy.

@Subject_Beta @n7janeshepard @zmassani @cptksaenon @kodiaksteven @beyondsubject0 As the ground team steadily cleared the enemies on the surface, krogan and vorcha roars rumbled out of smoking craters created by Normandy’s guns. The base appeared to have an extensive underground portion as hordes of Blood Pack mercs were now pouring out onto the surface. Vel turned as the sound of thrusters caught her attention; two merc shuttles managed to take off amidst the carnage. [comm] Normandy! We have two airborne merc shuttles entering orbi— “SHUT UP AND LET ME CONCENTRATE!” Jack turned and cut Vel off, and Vel inched backwards as an intense blue aura begin to envelope Jack, and the ground began to tremble as she slowly raised her arms. Jagged cracks ruptured in the ground as a massive chunk of earth was levitated, and Vel jumped off just in time as the giant boulder was hurled towards one shuttle, shattering it in two, and sending debris into the other. Jack turned and slowly walked away from the shower of burning wreckage. “Now you can call our pickup.”

@Subject_Beta @n7janeshepard @zmassani @cptksaenon @kodiaksteven @beyondsubject0 Hearing Beta’s Phalanx amidst the chaos, Vel gave a loud cheer and whipped out her Predator pistol, charged towards the next group, and unloaded a clip into whoever was still standing. As Vel charged towards the next group of enemies, another blue ball flashed across the base and crashed into her. She was thrown against a wall, rematerialized, and slumped to the floor. A krogan biotic croaked a laughter as he exited his charge and slowly walked over to Vel. A blue orb flew out of nowhere and knocked the krogan back. Jack stepped over a pile of corpses towards him, her right hand an open palm. As she clenched her hand into a fist, the krogan’s head crumpled with an ugly crackling sound into a blood mess. “Really? Amateur.” Jack looked down disdainfully and pulled Vel up to her feet.

@Subject_Beta @n7janeshepard @zmassani @cptksaenon @kodiaksteven @beyondsubject0 *rather erratically, Vel charges from the first group of enemies all the way across the base like a blue meteor to the next group, coming out of her charge with a blue explosion, sending mercs flying in all directions. A krogan stands his ground and advances on Vel, but she dodges to the side before he can grab a hold of her. With the momentum a blue aura erupts from her right fist as she lands it square on the krogan’s jaw. The krogan wobbles and soon regains balance, but only before Vel hurls a giant blue orb at him, throwing him into the air. [comm] Shepard, come in!

The merc’s scream becomes muffled as it is enveloped in a blue cocoon. As Vel’s arms swing down the cocoon crashes into the ground, crushing the merc* [comm] Shepard! We are on the ground! The mercs have taken hits from Normandy and we are keeping the rest busy. How are you doing up there?

Jack jumps up from her chair, a blue bubble puffs out from her deflecting the shots. She shoves the two aside and dashes out the shuttle* *Not wanting to stay second, Vel shifts into a blue swirling jet and launches towards the closest group of mercs*

Vel presses the comm again impatiently before a bright blue beam shoots down from space and floods the entire shuttle with a blinding light, followed by a thunderous explosion on the ground. As she struggles to regain vision, the base on the holo is now half inside a smoking crater. The mercs that are left are now REALLY mad and begins firing up into the sky* *Vel hops out of the chair and stands by the door* Get ready! *the shuttle makes final approach*
