ONE WOULD THINK JEDI YOUNGLINGS WERE MORE WELL BEHAVED THEN OTHER CHILDREN ... and that person would be wrong .  before her assignment , omega had been one of those who made the wrongful assumption . chasing after a youngling down the halls now , another much smaller held in her arms , she’s a bit exasperated by the revelation . ❛ -- kinani  , come on !  ❜ the girl calls out with as much subtlety as possible , ❛ you need to NAP !  pantorans your age need at least -- ❜

the aforementioned culprit seems to stop in their tracks when rounding the corner , though with the extra weight in her arms , omega isn’t able to do the same adeptly . a much larger figure in sight blocks her path and she lets out a yelp when the eventual collision happens . LUCKILY the impact isn’t so devastating ; of course she makes sure to land upright with careful arms wrapped around the infant in her arms ( who squirms unhappily ) .

EYES LOOK UP WIDE ( the other youngling looking much more amused by the situation ) to the jedi elder she’s run into . she scrambles to her feet and snatches the hand of kinani .  ❛ oh , maker !  i am so sorry , i should have watched where i was going !  we were just ... uh , playing a game . ❜

haggard   and   plainly   exhausted  ,    gaunt   features   too   sharp   in   the   ship’s   fluorescent   lighting  ,    bail   lies   curled   in   his   own   medical   cot  ,    but   rather   than   sleeping  ,    his   eyes   are   on   obi - wan.        “      how   are   you   feeling?      are   the   painkillers   helping?      ”

“      ob’  -  wan?      ”      name   slurring   together  ,    bail   drags   himself   to   his   feet  ,    all   red - rimmed   eyes   and   rumpled   clothes.      what   a   sight   he   must   make  ;      had   he   known   obi - wan   would   be   arriving   tonight  ,    he   wouldn’t   have  ...      this   is   never   how   he   wants   his   jedi   to   see   him  ,    drunk   and   reeking   of   corellian   whiskey.      still   clutching   the   bottle   in   hand  ,    he   takes   a   staggering   step   toward   him.        “      you’re   home.      ”

though   the   thought   is   near   unbearable  ,    it   is   one   that   has   occurred   to   him   already      --      one   that   lingers   with   him   more   often   than   not   these   days  ,    with   the   jedi   stretched   thinner   and   thinner.      bail   draws   a   deep   breath   and   shifts   onto   his   side  ,    brushing   his   knuckles   along   his   lover’s   cheek. 

“      you   mean   everything   to   me.      ”       and   the   words   are   whisper  -  soft  ,    but   steady.       “      a   life   without   you   is   not   one   that   i   care   to   imagine  ,    but      --      if   something   happens   to   you  ,    i   will   find   the   strength   to   go   on   for   my   people  ,    for   the   republic.      ”       and   he   thinks   to   say   that   he   hopes   obi - wan   would   do   the   same  ,    but   of   course   he   would      --      the   jedi   have   no   attachments  ,    and   he   would   not   dare   hope   that   he   is   an   exception   to   that  ,    though   he   knows   that   obi - wan   loves   him.       “      but   let   us   hope   that   day   doesn’t   come.      ”

    the blonde wastes little to not time diving into the escape pod and beginning the search for a suitable place to land.  safely was ideal,  but if they could get out of it with minor wounds she would take it as a win.   -   arm burns as she punches in search parameters.  the closest planet was quite the fall away,  but if the pod could sustain the journey they very well could survive.  tara punches in the coordinates,  not even bothering to catch the name of the planet,  and sticks her head out of the pod.

    “    master   -   we have to go,  now.    ”    she lingers in the entry way,  seconds from begging him to take the chance.  but the droids were persistent,  constant blaster fire rains towards him.  tara didn’t hesitate.  she climbed out of the pod once more,  igniting her own saber and helping him deflect what she could.  

    “    im not leaving you behind.    ”    she made sure to say it before he had the chance to order her back inside their ticket out.  she would never forgive herself if she fled without him.  he was like a father to her.   tara does everything in her power to assist him,  utilizing the force and her saber to cut down what she could of the droids that marched upon them.  

    did it ever end?   she couldn’t quite see an end to the droids.  they seemed to climb out of the wood work.  tara spares the other a glance,  a silent beckon.  would they die there together?

Grogu expected anything. After Ahsoka told him what to do, he was prepared for another Jedi to fly to him. He felt them in the Force when he meditated. But he had never expected to see a ghost. It was Master Kenobi. Once upon a time, they spent some time together after the Grogu's Master disappeared. Grogu was happy to see someone from his past.

An almost-empty canteen sat before him. There was one sip left, but he refused to take it. It taunted him, teasing him with its accessibility. He could take it and ease the itching dryness in his mouth, if only for a little while. But then that would mean the general won, and he wasn’t about to let the general win. Not at this. 

Cody looked away from the canteen and towards the latest possible exit. Though truthfully, he didn’t have much hope. The last six tunnels were all dead ends, and the clanking of droids was steadily growing louder. The echoes bounced along the limestone and made it impossible to pinpoint a direction, but it was only a matter of time. 

Maybe the Separatists could convince General Kenobi to drink some water. The thought amused him. 

Cody grabbed the canteen and put it back on his belt, clipping it in place. He looked to his general as he stood, grabbing his helmet and placing it over his head. The flashlight was off to conserve battery, which left only the dim glow of Kenobi’s lightsaber to illuminate their surroundings. 

“We should get moving, sir.”

“ GENERAL   .  ”  soldier stood upright with sudden stiffness, shoulders squared, arms at his sides. Clutched in sable palm was string of polished stones, each molded to rotund smoothness ; fascinating in the light, catching rays of planetary sun, with trails of dusted strands of colorful fabrics in freshly de-tangled strings. Handled with such care and proper devotion was trinket that one could only guess what small child it was for. “.   .   .   everything is all clear in this sector, sir. I was just making way to meet with the COMMANDER   . ”
