A completely hypothetical question, but I thought of it while I was planning to ask another question of the relatively same nature. Would it be possible for two separate players to app with characters that are related (siblings, cousins, etc) ?
That would be fine. I know a few people who are apping as a pair. Just make sure to let us know that it is a pair unit so we don’t accept one without the other. Unless you wouldn’t mind, that is.

OK SO THIS IS ACTUALLY A STUPIDLY LONG STORY AND EXPLANATION SO ITS UNDER THE CUT
so once upon a time in high school, i believe my freshman or sophomore year, halloween rolled around. my family was friends with another family in the area who were a bit wealthier than us, and so they had a nice house, popular daughters, and they would always throw big parties for various holidays, particularly the 4th of july, halloween, and new years.
me, my sister, and my dad were headed over there for the halloween party. i didnt have an actual costume prepared, but i did have a black hoodie and a guy fawkes mask cuz fuck me i was a kid and it looked cool. so i grabbed that and called it an anonymous costume. we get to the party and of course, me with no social skills and next to no friends, i just hang inside by the adults.
however, the one thign i loved about t his family is that the father, this guy jon, was as much of a smartass as me and my dad. he saw the costume i had and told me to go outside and keep an eye on the kids from the shadows. i immediately got the best idea, which would make this the best halloween ever.
i decided to put up the hoodie and wear the mask, and in the pathway between the house and a fence leading to the backyard, entirely in the shadows, stand perfectly still and just stare at the crowd. this started off well enough, with some people occasionally lookign over nervously (cuz they were already fucking drunk at this point)
and the night kept getting better
i would occasionally move to another area, the next one of note beign on the porch in a chair, sitting still of course. two drunk girls walked over to me, wonderign if i was an ornament or something. i turned my head to prove i wasnt, and thye ran screaming. this went on for a couple hours, with some guys approaching me in the backyard and pushing me to get me to take my mask off cuz they were drunk and scared so they had no other idea of what to do. finally at one point a girl came over and was genuinely curious, and made it clear she wasn’t drunk or stupid, and i chatted with her for a bit. all in all, a fantastic night of spooking drunk kids older than me.
being a lonely kid, i basically sat around during lunch periods thinking, and so i got the idea to turn this figure into a character i could use. at first he was just as i dressed, black hoodie and guy fawkes mask, except he was being interrogated or something and i thought it would be cool if they tried to take off the mask and suddenly all blacked out, and he was this weird supernatural figure just fucking with authority or something??? idk
and THEN i took it to the next level
the next version of the character i named “s3v3n” (yes really, to represent the 7 deadly sins, and the two 3′s also represented somethign idk the story in which he explains it is saved somewhere but fuck if i’m gonna read through to dig that up)
he was basically grimdark captain america
he was a prisoner in the 50′s or something ,was tested for a super soldier serum, and it went bad cuz it was exposed to some alien crystal or something (i dont know) and it turned his skin and internal organs pitch black, and his eyes were entirely white along with his hair. he would gain weird energy powers and immortality, but he was kept locked away for 60 years which drove him insane, but of course my version of “insane” was “he’s moody and bitter and occasionally gets very angry.” and then he would happen upon a yougn girl that would return some light to his dark heart and he would keep in touch with her until she later died of cancer yadda yadda blah blah mope mope
NEXT VERSION GOT EVEN WEIRDER
now i decided to add some other characters, all with super powers and shit, and have them contained as test subjects for a government superhero program. some of these characters would last through later versions, particularly this guy caspar who was a german grease monkey who controlled electricity. more moody stuff and people looking at him like “wow he’s so tormented but he’s so powerful and cool oh my gosh wow” and so on

i decided to add a sort of weird god system in this story in which the reasons they have powers is because they all were representatives or somethign of these gods that could do cool stuff, and they would be able to go down to earth and possess these guys and give them even cooler powers and weapons and wings and shit, and the one who would possess s3v3n, now named christian foucault which is still his name, was the “wraith of din,” so more moody all-powerful bullshit so on and so forth
next version was GREATLY toned down, and lasted a good while actually
this time it was set in a post apocalyptic earth, where the entire world was blasted by some alien rays and shit, causing 70% of the populus to be wiped out, 25% to turn into weird i-am-legend-esque zombies, and the remaining 5% to get superpowers, cuz fuck logic. christian now had hsi color scheme swapped to match the zombies, pale white skin and black eyes, but still had all the powers and shit but was much less moody. he was accompanied by a transman named nick whom he befriended several years ago during nick’s childhood, as he was just a vagabond walking around and nick’s parents took him in and kept him safe, so he grew to be a brother to nick. they would find other superhero folks wanderign through america in a modified school bus cuz caspar is still here, and they would go seeking a woman known as the seer, who posessed similar powers to christian cuz of the energy beams. also did i mention christian once again was several decades old cuz he was present during the apocalypse but survived cuz bullshit and turned immortal and so wandered for like 100 years or so? cuz that was there. cuz fucking who cares.
the final version of him has him return to being a fuckign human, at least 90% of the time, and all the characters from this last version returned, but its now set in normal modern earth, but crossed with like d&d cuz people are all the various classes, and chris is now a dark mage who can fuck with reality and shit, but i guess he’s still kinda sullen cuz fuck man thats the name of the game
so yeah, thats the story of how my halloween prank made a character than went from a young boy’s edgy daydream to an “adults” modern-day-fantasy daydream
