Kholo.pk started out as a side-project by two friends trying to become decent developers. In just two weeks we were getting enough traffic on the website that it was constantly crashing our servers. We didn't know what to do. And to seal the deal, we found out that the Youtube API we were using had already been deprecated.
Fuck.
Anyways, we closed down the site and had been re-writing much of the codebase the past month to bring it back to life. We've upgraded the servers so they won't crash as often as before (hopefully!), improved the video player and still trying to improve the speed of page load times.
There are still bound to be a ton of bugs (mainly because it was created by two not-so-awesome developers), so please just bear with us. The website is still in beta (and only just reached version 0.2.0), it's a long way until we get to v1!

We’ve grown very tired of the Youtube Ban in Pakistan, and even more so of the many Youtube Mirrors popping up every other day.
Don’t get us wrong, Kholo.pk is also a Youtube Mirror, but unlike these other ‘copies’, our mission is to focus on Usability, to make the lives of the user easy, not to make a quick buck from an endless supply of pop-up ads.
This doesn’t mean we won’t place Ads on the website in the future, we do need to keep the site alive, but what we do promise you is that we’ll try to make your experience on the website as enjoyable as possible!

Which is quite significant, considering that YouTube has been banned in the country since September 2012.
