well, they might’ve been raised traditionally and see no need for change if they were comfortable with it growing up. people have really varied experiences and what might seem natural to us is weird and unnecessary to them…

Khrysomallos
Origin: Greek mythology
Type: Maigical Ram
Khrysomallos is a fly, golden-fleeced ram born from the union of Poseidon and Theopane. Poseidon had transformed himself into a ram, and Theopane an ewe to protect her from suitors.
Khrysomallos rescues the children Phrixos and Helle from being sacrificed to Zeus, but as the ram flew across the sea, Helle falls off. When they arrive at Colchis, Phrixos sacrificed the ram to Zeus, hanging its fleece on an oak tree in a sacred grove, where it will be the prize in the quest of Jason and Argonauts.
