I look in people's windows, transfixed by rose golden glows.

Ephemer stops by the window of a young family — a man, a woman, and their baby. The parents, his age, are laughing as they try to feed each other while their baby giggles and claps. He smiles, the sight pulling a memory to the front of his mind.

Ven had giggled when Skuld shoved cake in Brain’s face, making the older teen splutter. He blinked at Skuld, then his expression twisted as he grabbed the cake and shoved the entire thing in her face. Ephemer burst out laughing at that, and even Lauriam had chuckled.

Skuld had gasped in mock offense, pulled the cake off her face, and proceeded to throw it over at Lauriam, who yelped in surprise. Ven laughed harder. Lauriam scowled at Skuld and Brain, making them both turn away at the Older Brother Stare(TM), leading to them being surprised as Lauriam planted cake in their hair. Ven and Eph couldn’t hold back their laughter.

Somehow, the Union Leaders all ended up having a food fight, causing the entire room to get covered in food. They’re only caught by Eph and Skuld’s friend as they walked in, just to immediately get a spoonful of food to the face. That had only made everybody crack up more.

Ephemer pauses, his face falling as he turns away from the window. It’s been ten years now. Ten years since he saw his friends. Ten years since he started missing them…

It’s been seven years since he built Scala, eight since the first time he successfully taught someone to become a Keyblade wielder.

He misses them.

He misses them so badly.

He hopes and prays that Skuld was able to escape. That the others did too.

…He tries, yet again, to convince himself Brain is alright. It doesn’t work that well.

There was one Lifeboat left. There should’ve been none. There was eight of them, and seven Lifeboats. With the loss of his friend, there was just enough.

Brain is mentioned in the Book of Prophecies specifically. He shows up in Scala in 100 years.

….Eph doesn’t think he’ll live that long. But he can hold out, for his friend..

A bit ago I was talking to @starlightwayfinder about my stupid amount of WIPs and unfinished fics I have and she suggested making a compilation of them on AO3.

So behold, my Unfinished KH Fics! Now readable outside of my Google Docs!

The first fic is Broadcasting Live from Daybreak Town.

I'm probably gonna update it pretty frequently until its all caught up, so keep an eye out (might also do polls to decide what's next too for some fun community interaction, because I think that kind of thing is fun lol)
