Thanks to my colleague, Alexandra Byers, I can't go a day without listening to Nao. Her music is passionate, raw, heart-wrenching and truly speaks to the soul. I love that Nao's sound transcends beyond the label of a particular genre; she mixes up her style, making her music appealing to anyone. Her song "Girlfriend" is a great example of this: the tune has a '90s feel, infused with funky guitar licks and electronic surges, but bears the stamp of her own sound. Nao's debut album, For all we Know, is set to be released July 29. Press the play button below, you won't be disappointed.

‘Just’ (1995)

Radiohead's "Just" is a simple track with many interpretations. The song explores depression and the alienation that society brings. Though released in 1995 on Radiohead's second album, The Bends, the song continues to be relevant today. The lyrics, "You do it to yourself, you/ and that's what really hurts," are a reflection of self-inflicted grievances caused by paranoia. It's a great song that allows you to tap into your inner self, and think about topics that aren't talked about as often as they should.

Janet Jackson slays in her new music video, "Dammn Baby." Though the song was released on her seventh studio album,Unbreakable, last year, her performance delivers something new in every single way. From the backup dancers rolling their necks, to Jackson dancing with sass, the song embodies an empowering message. Her lyrics, "You gotta get up off that grey line/ and can't nobody tell you/ what you can't do/ shut that down automatic/ and I'll guarantee they'll fall in line/ watch 'em all go," talk about being yourself and having your own identity.

Sister duo Chloe and Halle Bailey will give you chills with their song "Fall." Their voices are angelic, creating intricate harmonies that will hit all your emotions. Though their song is composed of simple piano chords, it’s the Baileys’ voices that shine. The pair recently released their EP Sugar Symphony with five tracks that each holds its own delivery and personality. These Beyoncé protégés are ones to look out for.

Jhené Aiko, 'B's + H's'

It's been nearly two years since we last heard from Jhené Aiko with her previous album Souled Out. But she's recently released a new single called "B's + H's," and I think she's set for a comeback. The track is infused with a mix of elements including psychedelic neo-soul, R&B and hip-hop, all laced with her soft, dreamy vocals. Though her song addresses an anonymous guy for being promiscuous, her performance is smooth and confident. The song's video, directed by Topshelf Junior, captures the mood of the song perfectly with dark and pale blues and infrared visuals — an accurate representation of the tune’s message.

"Come and See Me" is the first track to drop off PartyNextDoor's next album, featuring Drake and produced by Noah “40” Shebib — and the vibe is fire. "Come and See Me" takes on a traditional R&B sound, in comparison to PartyNextDoor's usual trap and Auto-Tune territory. There's no doubt this is a hit.

Mark Johns's cover of Amy Winehouse's soulful classic, "Rehab," is not only original, it's refreshing. This Canadian-born artist, who resides in L.A., took the classic song and made it her own, but left some of the old elements from the original that made it great. Produced by Canadian duo Tennyson, the track has a bubbly, electronic yet R&B vibe. Currently signed to Skrillex's record label, OWSLA, this up-and-coming musician is making her presence known. Her music is a unique hybrid of many different genres, and she’s creating a social following of fans by just being herself — a characteristic that can definitely be heard in her music.
