homu (plus headcanons!)

bronya still loves all things homu. the doll she often carries on her person is her comfort item, gifted by her mother as a young child.

the doll became a major source of comfort for kiana by association to the first time bronya lent it to her to soothe her guilt & anxieties of hov.

bron still lets kiana snuggle homu whenever she’s feeling blue.

one time, homu accidentally ripped when they were playfighting. kiana isn’t the most talented at patchwork, as there was definitely a lot of mismatched colors and threads when sowing the doll back together. somehow, bronya cherishes it even more.

she appreciates more homu merch as gifts, but you you’ll never get her to let go of the old patchy doll!

post-hod, kiana holds onto homu as one agonizing day after another passes, fighting to see the day she reunites with her best friend. she’s spent many nights crying herself to sleep while hugging the doll she now associates with longing for the past & a bitter reminder of her weaknesses, rather than something that fully comforts her.
