Posting for daytime crowd, and to put the profile with the picture (Drawn by my awesome friend Reilly, originally posted on her art blog. I have done nothing to the image besides scaling it down, and making the background transparent instead of white. Original version from her post here, and original post in source.) :3
I would have reblogged, but I realized the profile for her is super long, and I can't to a read-more cut without doing a text post.
She was intended for a very specific, 20-years-in-the-future Touhou RP I was leading, that, unfortunately, did not get far at all. I really hope that I'll get to try it again sometime soon.
Either way, hit the read more link for her profile, from that RP.
Unusual Markings - A small orange horn, just between where her bangs are and where the hair that's pulled back into the braid starts. Has a spiral pattern.
Clothes - A purple Karate Gi with turn-off sleeves for the top, and a slightly-longer-than-knee-length purple skirt. She wears traditional Japanese Straw sandals, with white socks underneath. Wears red hand wraps as well, and a red strip of cloth like a karate belt. pretty much every piece of fabric she wears is torn up in areas where she would find it restrictive or otherwise getting in the way.
Significant Trait(s): Unintelligent
Quotes:
"What, it isn't normal to throw trees?"
"HUMANS CAN'T TELEPORT."
"You're making things up!"
Character Power/Ability: None (Just her Oni's strength)
Power Designation: Stage 2 boss/Stage 3 midboss level
Weapons/Artifacts:
Double Bamboo Flute of Blessings Curses - A double-flute, made of bamboo, given to her by her father. Originally designed to that it would give blessings, Kichiko's musical ability is so terrible, they come out as curses instead. Also, due to Kichiko's horrendous playing abilities, she will occasionally (1/6 chance) get an unintended result, and occasionally (also 1/6 chance) misdirect the curses.
Personality: She is a caring girl, happy to help people in need, but has a short temper. She also believes she is a perfectly normal human, and will stand by that belief no matter how many times you prove her wrong.
Strengths: Strong will | Strong beliefs | Strong body
Flaws: Unintelligent | Oblivious | Illogical | Impulsive
Likes: Her father, Nature
Dislikes: Magic (More accurately, she doesn't believe in it), People who insist she's not human.
Fears: None of freakout level.
Family: Father (Magician Youkai, uses music for his magic), Mother (Hoshiguma Yuugi, A.K.A. Yuugi the Strong, Daeva of the Mountain)
Friends: Marisa
Skills:
Breaking Smash - Kichiko hits the ground in front of her, casing the ground to crack outwards.
Breaking Smash Danmaku - An advanced version of the previous skill. It starts out the same, but after she cracks the ground, she smashes it again, sending rubble flying out in all directions.
Screeching Song - A curse played on her flute. The person she focuses on while playing this song finds it hard to concentrate, and thus, harder to graze/avoid danmaku and other attacks.
Spellcards((levels are 1-9, with 1 being anything above Icicle Fall -Easy-, and 9 being the hardest timeout-only spellcards.))
Oni's Maw [Arachne's Parlor] (Level 3) - Playing her flute, she sends out danmaku to either side of her, which curve around, aimong to hit her oppnent fron the flanks. Should they move away to dodge, they have to dodge through loarge amounts of danmaku, should they move closer, they get into a kind of the "eye of the storm", which gradually closes up, bringing them closer to her. Once within reach, she grabs them, and does a piledriver maneuver.
Shatter sign [Splintered Chaos] (Level 4) - Uprooting the nearest tree, Kichiko flings it into the Air. Then, grabbing the closest large rock (or chunk of the ground if there are no good rocks), and leaps up so that the tree is directly between her and her opponent, then hurls the rock into the tree, causing the tree to explode in innumerable shards of wood, which fly all over. Unintentionally, this also obscures the rocks speed until the tree breaks, making it harder to dodge.
Callow Love [Oni's Master Spark] (Level 5) - In a poor "Imitation" of Marisa's Love Sign [Master Spark], Kichiko grabs the largest rock she can find, and throws it so fast it explodes.
Cacophony [Dissonant Ricochet] (Level 7) - Grabbing Rocks as fast as she can, Kichiko throws them into the air equally fast, not just at random, but accurately at each other, before long causing the entire area to be a huge mess of rocks, ricocheting and exploding all over the place. ((This one is crossed out cause it was a plan for the next spellcard she would get, and the RP did not get that far.))
Bio: Her father was a Magician Youkai, who spent a few years in Gensokyo. In that time, he ended up falling in love with Yuugi the Strong (Somehow). They had a kid, which he decided, he wanted to raise outside of Gensokyo, as a more normal person (thus she was raised thinking she was a normal human). One day, when Kichiko was 13, her father decided to go visit Yuugi, and since Kichiko refused to wake up, he decided he would leave a note on the door. However, Kichiko, despite having the note at eye level, did not notice it, and after waiting for a week for her father to return, decided she was going to give up on that, and go find him. She then hiked for 5 days to the nearest road and followed it to a town, where she tried to go to school. Of course, on the first day, some guy tried to bully her in the schoolyard, at which point she uprooted a tree, and threw it at him. When the teachers and kids looked at her, shocked, she took it as indignation rather than disbelief. She then remembered when she read her father's diary (when she was much younger), and got so far as to read "Gensokyo seems like a nice place so far..." before he caught her and took it away. She decided to set out to find Gensokyo. After Four years of searching, and ending up in Japan, she gave up while wandering around the mountains, and fell asleep against a tree. She woke up to Marisa staring at her in thought (she had managed to fall into Gensokyo in her sleep). Marisa took the very bewildered Kichiko to see Reimu, who ended up asking how another Oni got above ground, upon which Kichiko replies with "Huh? Oni? What's that?" Reimu looked at her and tried to explain that was one of the types of non-humans that was around, to which, of course, Kichiko replied saying, "I'm just a regular human girl!" Once the argument that ensued ended with her claiming Reimu was making things up, Reimu gave up and let it be, before deciding to entrust her to Marisa, which is where she is now, training to learn to live in Gensokyo. It's not going well, and Kichiko's disbelief in Magic is most certainly not helping.
As for...Author's notes I guess? Essentially, she too stupid and strong willed to learn actual magic methods for Danmaku, so she just smashes things to make her Danmaku. Eventually, I planned for this to develop into "the power to shatter things" which, of course, would be interpreted very liberally at high power levels. Like teleportation by shattering the perspective of her location (She would explain it as "Well...I just break the fact that I'm here, not there."), or for a bomb-type-move, shattering the attack being thrown at her (it would be a weird bomb, where it would rely on there being other bullets (her's don't count) on screen to do anything, and the more bullets, the more powerful the attack becomes).
She'd eventually meet her mother, which would be hilarious, because even after Kichiko would accept Yuugi as her mother (which would not take long, and would also result in Kichiko becoming fond of alcohol (She hated it before. Couldn't stand the taste.)), and accept that Yuugi was a fully-fledged Oni, it would still take a long time to get Kichiko to stop believing she's a human.
She was really fun to RP, cause she tended to use a lot of really terrible logic loops to defend her beliefs, and if you were lucky enough to think of some way where even she would realize her logic was flawed, she'd pretty much pull the "You're making things up!" line, and storm off in a huff, to go find something large and heavy to throw at you.
